Poznan University of Economics and Business Knowledge Transfer Company (SCUEP)

The Company was established by the Notary Deed of August 7, 2014. It’s university-owned but acts as a self-funding, limited liability company (SPV). The Company aims to implement market solutions based on scientific research results, offers consulting services for external entities, and conducts commissioned research to solve specific market, tech & management problems.

PUEB Knowledge Transfer Company is the first SPV in Poland established by an economic university. The specificity of research carried out in economics (the predominance of “soft results” over “hard solutions”) makes the central area of the Company’s activity to acquire and run development projects, in which the know-how of academics and creativity of students plays a key role.

From October 2014 to May 2022, the Company has completed 320+ development projects for 190 companies and public institutions. Projects focus on strategic development issues (including developing new products, building new business models, creation of R&D strategies), and requiring constructing interdisciplinary teams and creating a dedicated research methodology.

Universidad Rovira i Virgili URV

The Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) is a public and comprehensive university made up of 24 Research Departments that welcome annually 12.000 undergraduate students, 2.000 master’s students and 1.200 PhDs. Since then, URV has developed a successful model of balanced research and training dedication, which has placed it among the first five Spanish universities in terms of research outputs according to several domestic classification, and derived in its international recognition in several rankings. The URV endorsed the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers (Charter and Code) was awarded the HR Excellence in Research logo. URV has strong links with other knowledge-generating agents of the South of Catalonia. The URV is a key actor of the Catalan implementation of the European Research and Innovation strategy for Smart Specialization (RIS3). The university is currently beneficiary of some of the most important financing tools from the Catalan Regional EU funding program (RIS3CAT) in order to effectively transfer knowledge with high impact to the society. To maximize impact and strengthen international relations, URV is an active member of AURORA network, a University network platform for European university leaders, administrators, academics, and students to learn from and with each other. URV is structured in 12 faculties and schools, which offer more than 100 programmes of study (undergraduate degrees, master degrees and doctorates) in a broad variety of knowledge areas for over 15,000 students. A wide range of undergraduate degrees have been implemented, designed to meet the formative needs and aspirations of the local people, and consolidated an offer of postgraduate courses that is in line with the activity of the research groups and the maximum national, state and international outreach. Offers aim to achieve the formative objectives set for competencies and skills, and include mechanisms to ensure the quality of the resulting certification. To comply with the University’s mission of generating knowledge, and to respond effectively to the needs of society in the current context of crisis and reformulation of the model of economic development, the URV is applying an active policy that aims to reinforce the research profile of the institution by increasing visibility, specific support to RDI, and internal and external recognition of research staff in all knowledge areas. In the years 2014 – 2016 URV has been granted 48 projects, from which 9 are coordinated. That has meant over 15 million euros in competitive funding.


CONFORM – Consulenza, Formazione e Management S.c.a.r.l.

CONFORM – Consulenza, Formazione e Management S.c.a.r.l. is based in Avellino, in the Naples region in Italy and was established in 1995. As a managerial training organisation, it has vast experience in creating innovative learning solutions that exploit new digital technologies and can enhance the digital readiness of teaching staff. It has 18 full time staff and collaborates with consultants throughout the country.

CONFORM is registered in the list of film companies of MIBACT – Film Board, for non-cinematographic film and audio-visual production. It has produced short films, video stories and educational films, based on the “Movie Education” methodological model, allowing participants involved in the design phase, screenplay and interpretation of roles, to re-elaborate knowledge acquired in “formal”, “non-formal” and informal” learning.

Among others, main fields of expertise are the development of social and e-learning platforms, to promote 2.0 / 3.0 information, debate, dialogue and interaction with other social media, informal learning with access through credentials to structured multimedia packages developed with visual thinking techniques and the use of 2D/3D animations, interactive business games, video tutorials, etc.

In addition to delivering managerial training, CONFORM also develops learning environments using the Movie Education and Game-Based Learning methodologies. CONFORM continually invests in training for its staff to be able to stay abreast of technological and methodological innovation. CONFORM also develops its own cutting-edge learning materials and environments for people of all ages and from all fields of life.

Since 1995, CONFORM promotes, designs, manages and reports complex projects at national and international level. It has participated in numerous national and international projects implemented under the Erasmus+ Program, the Employment and Equal Community Initiatives, the Italian Ministry of Education, Italian Universities and other. Conform counts over 200 national, European and international partners. CONFORM is partners with PUEB in many Erasmus+ projects for several years (INKAMs, SMILE, Digital Humanist, DaTaGEM) and has started a collaboration with EFMD in the DaTaGEM project which is running until 2021.


University of Macerata (Italy)

The University of Macerata was founded in 1290 and is one of the oldest universities in Europe. This glorious past is projected into the future and UniMc is strongly committed to innovation both in teaching and research: the focus on the humanities and social sciences is UniMC’s main strength, and “innovating through the humanities” is its motto. UniMC offers a wide range of degree programs in the Social Sciences and Humanities, spanning from Languages to History and Philosophy, from Education to Tourism and Cultural Heritage, from Economics to Business, from Law to Political Science and Communication.

The University mission consists in:

  • increasing the value of a more than seven-century-long history dedicated to the merit and the quality of all the students, researchers, professors and technical-administrative staff;
  • planning its choices with commitment and intelligence;
  • improving and promoting the results of research into the excellence areas;
  • expanding its international network to support the local development.

In addition to teaching, the university involves: a start-up incubator, five spin-offs, the Humanistic Laboratory for Creativity and Innovation LUCI, the Laboratory of Digital Humanism LUD, European and national research projects, archaeological missions around the world, numerous research centres, collaborations with companies, job placement activities, advanced training courses.


EFMD

EFMD is the largest European based international association in the fields of quality assurance and management development with 937 members from academia and business based in 91 countries all over the world. EFMD is recognised globally as an accreditation body certifying quality management education through its accreditation labels for institutions (EQUIS), programmes (EPAS), online courses (EOCCS) corporate learning programmes (CLIP), programmes for developing QA mechanisms (EDAF) and impact assessment (BSIS). EFMD publishes the “Entrepreneur’s Guide to Building a Successful Business” containing advice from hundreds of business owners in 14 countries. EFMD corporate and academic members participate in 7 interest groups on workplace skills and learning, with the results being published frequently and promoted globally. Through its membership, EFMD has access to a large pool of experts on digital sills and entrepreneurship. Many of them are often speakers in the more than 15 annual international conferences that EFMD organizes in EU and all over the world, reaching more than 30.000 academic and non-academic management professionals.


 

Partners for Local Government

Partners for Local Government is a Polish Non-Governmental Organization and it has been working since 2001. Main area of work is the development of civil society and helping local authorities and entrepreneurs in implementation advanced management methods, IT systems and tools, promotion, social actions and others. Within years of cooperation with local governments and business the Foundation got a huge knowledge about their needs and capabilities. It focuses mostly on encouraging local authorities in activities aimed at developing life quality of their citizens, as well as enhancing economic and social development, supporting implementation of business innovative solutions related to internationalisation of the companies and management systems for SMEs. One important branch of the portfolio is developing IT tools for municipalities and business. In last few years Foundation has developed software for managing investment in municipalities. Currently works on online training platform using virtual reality for training purposes. Foundation cooperates with many researchers that deal with local and business development, and in particularly with entrepreneurship, networking, building organizational capacity, implementation of internationalisation strategies, IT tools supporting Human Resources Management.


Kaunas University of Technology

Kaunas University of Technology had its beginning on 16 February 1922, when the University of Lithuania and its technical faculties were established.

The development of Lithuanian scientific ideas continued in the first Lithuanian independent technical school of higher education (in 1950–1990 titled Kaunas Polytechnic Institute (KPI)). It was famous for the ultrasound and vibrotechnics laboratories, and scientific research of textiles.

In 1990 KTU regained its status of the university and took a path of rapid reforms of studies and research. The University continues to pursue sustainable partnership of science, business and industry, develops and implements new ideas, innovations and inventions.

KTU is a leading Lithuanian university providing a wide range of studies and closely cooperating with business. The University provides studies of engineering, technologies, physical and social sciences, humanities and arts. The research groups working at KTU contribute to the global scientific knowledge by conducting cutting edge interdisciplinary research on the most important questions of current time.

KTU has cooperation agreements with more than 350 higher education institutions in 50 countries of the world. Memorandums of Understanding, Student and staff exchange and “Erasmus+” inter-institutional agreements allow the University to develop strategic partnerships with foreign institutions in studies and research, and for our staff and students to go for academic exchange. At the moment, most of our partners are from the European Union countries but the cooperation map is quickly expanding.

Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Kaunas CCIC)

Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts (Kaunas CCIC) is a non-governmental and a non-profit seeking organization, one of the five regional chambers in Lithuania. Located in a center of Lithuania, Kaunas CCIC is one of the biggest chambers in the country with more than 550 member companies active in various sectors. 10 % of Kaunas CCIC members are active in food industry, mostly producers. 29 experts are permanently working in Kaunas CCIC, supporting SMEs to grow and expand to foreign markets.

The main activities of Kaunas CCIC are business community consolidation, representation of member’s and general business needs and interests, support services for business and competences development in the region and for international growth (consultations, seminars and training, conferences, international matchmaking events and etc). Kaunas CCIC is a member of Eurochambres and SMEunited. KCCIC is recognized social partner – Chamber representatives participate in various working groups created by Ministries of Economy, Education and Science, Security and Labour, Foreign Affairs.

Kaunas CCIC is working VET field since 2001, organizing final qualification exams. Each year around 10000 students are having their exams in Kaunas region.
